The Urban Development Corporation’s (UDC) designated area of Hellshire Hills located in St. Catherine, following its selection by the National Ramsar Committee, the local representative for the international intergovernmental body of the Convention on Wetlands, the Ramsar Committee/Convention; hosted the national celebration for this year’s World Wetlands Day 2018, on Friday February 2, 2018.

Following on the heels of its invitation for consultants to submit their bids for selecting the suitable site for Jamaica’s Third City, the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) has now reached out for bidders in the area of Pre-Horizon Scanning and Foresighting Study.
The UDC will be looking for bids that analyse and document global trends for the next 10 through to 50 years in all sectors of the global economy to outline the economic, geopolitical, social, technological, environmental drivers.

The Corporation which has hosted the event since 1999 remains committed to ensuring that patrons are not only well entertained but have convenient locations for parking.
The Waterfront of Downtown Kingston will on December 31, 2017 come alive with the hosting of the Urban Development Corporation’s (UDC) premiere event, ‘Fireworks on the Waterfront’. This year will be special as the UDC celebrates its 50th anniversary in March 2018.
