The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) which will host its flagship event, UDC Fireworks on the Waterfront, on Sunday, December 31, 2017 along the Ocean Boulevard of Downtown Kingston is leaving no stones unturned in its pursuit of delivering wholesome family entertainment at this year’s staging.
The Corporation which has hosted the event since 1999 remains committed to ensuring that patrons are not only well entertained but have convenient locations for parking.
The Waterfront of Downtown Kingston will on December 31, 2017 come alive with the hosting of the Urban Development Corporation’s (UDC) premiere event, ‘Fireworks on the Waterfront’. This year will be special as the UDC celebrates its 50th anniversary in March 2018.
The event which started in 1999 has impacted the hearts and minds of countless Jamaicans and likewise non-residents/tourists who make the Ocean Boulevard venue the place of choice for welcoming the New Year.

Scope of Services
The Urban Development Corporation-owned Green Grotto Caves and Attractions in Discovery Bay, St Ann is the first cave in the world to receive the prestigious EarthCheck Master Achievement Award.
EarthCheck, the world’s leading scientific benchmarking, certification and advisory group for travel and tourism in alerting the attraction’s management of the endorsement in November 2017 said it had obtained Master Certification Achievement, representing 15 years of continuous accreditation with EarthCheck.

The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is reporting a multimillion dollar (USD) increase in the value of investments in the Tax Incentive Programme (TIP) since the expansion of the programme in early 2017. The boundary of the government’s Tax Incentive Programme for Urban Renewal (TIP) for the Corporate Area was expanded and the programme renewed for an additional ten years as gazetted in January, 2017.
