REHABILITATION OF THE SOUTHERN GROYNE AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE NORTHERN GULLY REVETMENT, MONTEGO BAY WATERFRONT PROTECTION PROJECT, ST. JAMES

The Urban Development Corporation (UDC), in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2015 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2018 invites sealed bids for the Rehabilitation of the Southern Groyne and the Construction of the Northern Gully Revetment, Montego Bay Waterfront Protection Project, St. James.

ELIGIBILITY OF BIDDERS:
Bidders MUST submit the following with their bids:
· A copy of a valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
· A copy of a valid Public Procurement Commission (PPC) Certificate of Registration in the categories of Building Construction or Civil Engineering Works; Grade 1
· Bid security of JMD$1,000,000.00

BIDS SUBMITTED WITHOUT A VALID TCC, PPC CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION AND BID SECURITY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED.

AVAILABILITY OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS
Bidding Documents will be available for download as of Monday, September 6, 2021 on the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement website (www.gojep.gov.jm)

SITE VISIT/PRE-BID MEETING
A Mandatory site visit will be held as part of the Pre-Bid Meeting. The location, date and time for the Site Visit/Pre-Bid Meeting are as follows:

Location: Montego Bay Waterfront, St. James
Date: Thursday, September 16, 2021
Time: 11:00am

Bidders who do not attend the Site Visit/Pre-Bid Meeting will not be considered.

Bidders attending the Site Visit/Pre-Bid Meeting must notify the Director – Strategic Sourcing and Procurement by email (tenders@udcja.com), no later than 12:00noon on Monday, September 13, 2021, listing the contact information of the individual who will attend.

Please note that all COVID-19 protocols will be observed during the Site Visit/Pre-Bid Meeting and as such each company will be limited to one (1) representative. The representative must wear a mask and travel with hand sanitizer for personal use during the meeting.

CLARIFICATION AND QUERIES
The UDC will respond to any request for clarification received by Wednesday, November 24, 2021.

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF BIDS
Bids must be submitted online via www.gojep.gov.jm by Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:00pm. Late bids will be automatically rejected by the system.

BID OPENING
An online bid opening will take place on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 2:15pm.

An online bid opening report will be generated by the GOJEP System and sent to all Bidders who submitted a bid.
