Human Resource Manager – Career


Job Summary:
The incumbent will have the responsibility to manage and coordinate the Human Resource Management functions within St. Ann Development Company Limited, a subsidiary of the Urban Development Corporation.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent from an accredited institution
· A minimum of five (5) years’ relevant working experience in Human Resource Management, three (3) of which should be at the senior level in a unionized environment
· Working knowledge of relevant computer applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel
· Sound knowledge of employment practices in Jamaica
· Sound knowledge of industrial relations procedures and practices and applicable labour Laws
· Working knowledge of Job Evaluation methodologies

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

· Excellent Administrative and Interpersonal skills
· Ability to plan, organize, coordinate and control the activities of the department
· Ability to complete projects within specific timeframes
· Strong analytical and problem solving skills
· Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
· Ability to work in a team environment
· Excellent negotiation skills
