The Business Development Manager has the responsibility to identify and assess the viability of business development opportunities, asset acquisitions and divestitures, infrastructure and needs solution and commercial support requirements within the organization’s designated areas, to develop project prospectuses and financing options for the Corporation’s project and to communicate these opportunities to the organization and community stakeholders. Responsibilities also include to Develop sophisticated financial models to analyze financial/operational performance and to design and develop custom-built business models for project needs including support for investment decisions, finance raising, business planning, feasibility studies and analysis of risks and opportunities.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance or Business administration from an accredited tertiary institution.
· Post Graduate Certification in Finance or other related areas would be an asset
· A minimum of four (4) years’ experience in business development and/or economic and financial planning at the level of a middle manager in a medium or large organization
· Sound knowledge of business development
· Sound knowledge of real estate development & financing
· Expert knowledge in economic and financial evaluation of project proposals as well as business development methodologies, demographics and trends
· Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to create financial models based on strategic financial business plans
· Sound knowledge of research methodology

· Ability to work on own initiative

Special requirements associated with the job:
· Required to visit projects/make site visits
· Attending meetings outside of normal working hours
