Job Summary:

The Messenger/Driver has responsibility for the collection, sorting and delivery of mail and packages to offices and individuals outside of the Corporation and to transport UDC personnel to designated sites, as directed.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
· Completion of Secondary education with at least two (2) CXC/GCE passes or equivalent
· Valid General Driver’s Licence
· Two (2) years’ experience in a similar position
· Knowledge of motor operation and routine user maintenance
· Sound knowledge of the road code and safe driving practices

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
· Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
· Defensive driving skills and manners
· Sound human relations skills
· Time management skills

Special Conditions Associated with the Job:
· Requires extensive driving for the conduct of duties
