Provision of Garbage Collection and Disposal Services for UDC Operated Facilities in Kingston, St. Catherine and St. James

The Urban Development Corporation (UDC), in accordance with the Public Procurement Act, 2015 and the Public Procurement Regulations, 2018 invites bids for the Provision of Garbage Collection and Disposal Services.

Name of the project is: – Provision of Garbage Collection and Disposal Services for UDC Operated Facilities in Kingston, St. Catherine and St. James 

ELIGIBILITY OF BIDDERS:

Bidders MUST submit the following with their bids:

  • A copy of a valid Tax Compliance Certificate (TCC)
  • A copy of a valid Public Procurement Commission Certificate (PPC)
  • Bid Security in the amount of $250,000.00

BIDS SUBMITTED WITHOUT VALID TCC, PPC and Bid Security WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY REJECTED. 

AVAILABILITY OF BIDDING DOCUMENTS:
Bidding Documents will be available for download as of Monday November 22, 2021 on the Government of Jamaica Electronic Procurement website (www.gojep.gov.jm)

SITE VISIT / PRE-BID MEETING:
A virtual Pre-Bid Meeting will be held. The date and time for the Pre-Bid Meeting are as follows:

Location: ZOOM (bidders are required to e-mail tenders@udcja.com by Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 2:00 pm, confirming their interest. Following which a link will be shared)
Meeting Date: Friday, December 3, 2021
Time: 11:00am

Bidders attending the Pre-Bid Meeting must notify the Director – Strategic Sourcing and Procurement by email (tenders@udcja.com), no later than 2:00pm on Thursday, December 2, 2021, listing the contact information of the individual who will attend, (name, e-mail address and telephone number). A link will be issued only to bidders that confirmed their interest.

SCOPE OF WORKS:
The Contractor will be required to collect and dispose of garbage as required by each location’s Schedule of Activity.

CLARIFICATION AND QUERIES:
The UDC will respond to any request for clarification received by Thursday December 9, 2021. 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF BIDS
Bids must be submitted online via  www.gojep.gov.jm  by Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at 2:00pm. Bidders will be unable to upload their bid once the bid submission deadline has passed.

BID OPENING
An online bid opening report will be generated by the GOJEP System and sent to all Bidders who submitted a bid.
