Job Summary:

The incumbent has the responsibility to conduct operational, compliance, and financial audits of the UDC, its subsidiaries and associated companies. These audits will determine compliance with the provisions of relevant laws, regulations, policies, and best practice; report on the efficiency and effectiveness of internal control systems and procedures; and, where required, recommend appropriate corrective measures.

The ideal candidate should have: 

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration from an accredited tertiary institution, or the equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience working on audit assignments either with a public accounting firm or large public or private sector organization.
  • Sound knowledge of auditing techniques and procedures.
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, practices and systems.
  • Knowledge of the design and implementation of audit programs.
  • Knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of CAATs such as Audit Command Language (ACL) would be an advantage.

  • Ability and willingness to travel island-wide.
