COMMUNITY INTEGRATION MANAGER (CONTRACT)

THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUIRES AN COMMUNITY INTEGRATION MANAGER (CONTRACT)

Job Summary:

The incumbent shall provide social development expertise to the development process from concept, planning, design and execution. This shall be done by providing social analysis with relevant data and information through research, community mobilization and stakeholder engagement, at all phases of designated projects; thereby ensuring that community needs (perceived, expressed, absolute and relative) are determined, documented, considered, addressed and communicated effectively.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

· Degree in Urban Planning, Sociology, Community Development, Anthropology, Gender and Development, or any other field relevant to socially sustainable infrastructure development.

· Minimum of three (3) years in the planning, design and execution of development projects.

· Demonstrable experience in community project management, to include roles on projects funded by the GOJ is required, work on projects funded by international agencies/organizations, would be an asset.

· Possess experience in the design and implementation of policies and programmes in gender equality and social inclusion.

· Demonstrate a high level of functionality and competence in communicating and engaging stakeholders, including internal facilitation across organizational business units.

· Experience in Research Methodology

· Sound knowledge of Monitoring and Evaluation techniques

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

· Sound knowledge of gender and social inclusion in local Jamaican context

· Relevant experience in capacity building and delivery of training; communications; monitoring, evaluation, and reporting;

· Broad experience working with varying social groups and communities

· Ability to communicate information clearly and succinctly

· Ability to support results and meet tight timelines and cost objectives.
