PROCUREMENT CLERK (CONTRACT)

Summary:

The incumbent is required to provide clerical support to the Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Department as well as processing of Purchase Orders for all UDC locations, assist with tender opening exercises as well as prepare and dispatch relevant monthly reports to the Ministry of Finance and Planning.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • A Diploma in Business Administration or other related area
  • At least 5 GCE/CXC including English Language and Mathematics
  • A minimum of two (2) years related working experience
  • Working knowledge of relevant computer applications e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of Procurement Policy and Procedure
  • Working knowledge of Peoplesoft Purchasing System

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

  • Excellent Administrative and Interpersonal skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
  • Ability to work with a team
  • Customer and quality focus
