Job Summary:

The incumbent has responsibility for the implementation of the security programmes and operations of the Corporate Security Department through effective management of security personnel, policies and procedures. He/She will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by establishing and enforcing these security policies and procedures to ensure safety and security throughout the Corporation and its subsidiaries.

The ideal candidate should have:

 Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management or Security & Risk Management OR having held a commissioned rank in the Jamaica Defence Force or the Jamaica Constabulary Force
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ working experience in the provision of private security at the Corporate Level
  • Expert knowledge in Industrial Security and Security Systems Operations
  • Sound knowledge in Corporate Security, risk mitigation and loss prevention
  • Working knowledge of Crime Prevention & detection techniques
  • Working knowledge of current and relevant organizational safety and security practices
  • Sound knowledge in relevant computer applications e.g. Microsoft Suite

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Ability to prepare, interpret and analysis security reports
  • Excellent investigative, surveillance, time management and analytical skills
  • Highly developed interpersonal and human relations skills
  • Sound conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
