PROCUREMENT COMPLIANCE OFFICER (Contract)

Job Summary:

The Procurement Compliance Officer has the responsibility to ensure that the procurement process follow both the internal procedure of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) and the external government requirement of Cabinet; the Ministry of Finance; and the National Contracts Commission (NCC).  Additionally, the incumbent assists with the development, publication and management of solicitation documents, clarification of bidder’s enquiries, receipt and evaluation of offers and submission of procurement cases.

The ideal candidate should have:

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies, Business Administration or equivalent from an accredited tertiary institution
  • At least four (4) years’ experience working with government procurement management system
  • Sound knowledge of Government of Jamaica Procurement Guidelines
  • Working knowledge of contract documentation and contract administration procedures
  • Knowledge of Project Management
  • Knowledge of Auditing would be an asset
  • Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Office Suite
