Read Today for Tomorrow

The occasion was the UDC’s Annual Reading competition held at the UDC Head Office on Wednesday, July 11. The Competition which targeted children who are between the ages of 6 and 15 years old is geared towards promoting good reading habits. The children were placed in categories based on their ages and were invited to read from their favourite book and a surprise UDC related text. In celebration of Jamaica’s 50th anniversary of Independence, the competition which is usually open only to children of members of staff of the UDC and its subsidiaries was extended to children of downtown Kingston community. The theme for the competition this year was “Read Today for Tomorrow”.
