The current plans for Caymanas Estate (which is a designated area for development for the UDC) will be to:

●Convert lands within the Caymanas Estate Development Area (CEDA) into sustainable housing solutions

●Expand and upgrade the water supply infrastructure within the CEDA

The UDC is inviting Expressions of Interest from suitably experienced entities to enter into a development partnership to:

● Convert lands within the CEDA
● Expand and upgrade the water supply infrastructure within the CEDA

In 1986, Caymanas Estate became a designated area for development for the UDC.

The Caymanas Estate Development Plan outlines a concept to evolve these lands owned by the UDC & seeks to capitalize on the existing opportunities within the Caymans Estate Development Area (CEDA).

The Northern Groynes Rehabilitation Project which was undertaken by the UDC to repair, restore, reconfigure and enhance the ability of the existing structures on the Montego Bay Waterfront for shoreline protection, was completed in June 2022.
