The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) will lend its support to Labour Day 2013 through projects at the Kingston Craft Market and Orange Park in downtown Kingston on Thursday, May 23 between the hours of 7am and 11am.
Labour Day 2013 is being held under the theme “Lend A Hand…Build Our Land”.
Activities will include, painting planter boxes, laying top soil and planting grass at the Craft Market and extend to pruning and white washing of trees and general cleaning up of Orange Park. The Corporation is also providing assistance for community projects in Hellshire, St. Catherine, and in Montego Bay.
The Kingston Craft Market located as it is along the Kingston Waterfront, home of the UDC, makes it quite a fitting project for which volunteers will lend a hand to improving the cityscape as well as the beautifying Orange Park, adjacent to the Office Centre Building.
