There are plans to continue the upgrading of the building through the relocation of restaurant and lounge facilities upstairs. The UDC continues to spearhead and to facilitate the redevelopment of downtown Kingston through the stimulation of socio-economic activities. The tour comes ahead of the construction of the Festival Marketplace, a major public amenity which will act as a commercial, recreational and entertainment centre for downtown Kingston.
