UDC General Manager Explains Labour Day Scope of Work to Central Kingston MP

Rev. Ronald Thwaites (left), Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Central Kingston who visited the project on Labour Day, Monday, May 25, 2015.

Desmond Malcolm (right) General Manager of the Urban Development Corporation (UDC) explains the scope of work for the improvement and beautification of the Salvation Army Rae Town Basic School being carried out by the UDC Team, parents, teachers, representatives from the Early Childhood Commission (ECC) and community members to The Hon. Rev. Ronald Thwaites (left), Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Central Kingston who visited the project on Labour Day, Monday, May 25, 2015.  The Team carried out works including bushing of the School’s surroundings, painting of classrooms, and equipment in the play area, a National Heroes mural as well as installing needed safety devices.  As the UDC celebrates its 47th anniversary, the Corporation embraces the need for voluntarism and its importance to the development of Jamaica. The theme for Labour Day 2015 was “Labour of Love: Nurturing our Children.”
