UDC Collaborates with Kingston College to Stage Public Lecture on Downtown Kingston

The Forum, held under the theme “Urban Renewal: The Resuscitation of Kingston”, on Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at the Jamaica Conference Centre featured a presentation from the UDC on its plans for the redevelopment of Downtown Kingston.  The presentation highlighted completed and on-going projects including the Festival Marketplace and Food Bazaar which is expected to enhance the socio-cultural fabric of the Downtown area. 

The UDC is spearheading a multi-agency approach to the development and rejuvenation of areas in downtown Kingston and Port Royal, by arresting physical and social blight within the development area, to improve economic and social conditions through strategic infrastructural development and prudent divestment of assets
