Pulmantur Monarch’s Call on Port of Kingston

Visitors to the island from the Pullmantur Monarch pause to record the moment with Aaron Knight, Beach Attendant at Fort Clarence Beach Park. Passengers, who were predominantly Latin Americans, arrived on Tuesday (Dec 6) and toured a number of local attractions accessible from the Port including the Urban Development Corporation (UDC)- managed facilities, Fort Clarence Beach Park, the Kingston Craft Market and Dunn’s River Falls. The cruise ship carrying 2,700 passengers is the first to call on the Port of Kingston in three years. Its arrival is a milestone for stakeholders who have been involved in sustained efforts to make the city of Kingston and neighbouring areas more attractive tourist destinations.
