Pulmantur Monarch’s Call on Port of Kingston

(L-r ) Visitor to Fort Clarence Beach Park from the Pullmantur Monarch shares lens time with Suzette Shaw Reid, Marketing Manager at Urban Development Corporation (UDC) and Adrian Pink, Acting Supervisor at Fort Clarence Beach. The Pullmantur Monarch called on the Port of Kingston on Tuesday (Dec 6, 2016) carrying 2,700 passengers. The cruise line is the largest ever to dock in Kingston and the first to call on the port in three years. The beach park along with Kingston Craft Market and Dunn’s River Falls were three UDC- managed venues where visitors were entertained, as they toured sections of the island which were easily accessed from Kingston. Its arrival is a milestone for stakeholders who have been involved in sustained efforts to make the city of Kingston and neighbouring areas more attractive tourist destinations.
