UDC to Construct Beach Park in Montego Bay

The design was presented at a Town Hall meeting hosted by the UDC at the Montego Bay Cultural Centre (March 9). Within months, the UDC will embark on the implementation phase of the project, which will see the development of the approximately 16-acre property into a state of the art beach park.  The facility will feature, a jogging trail, soft and hard landscaping, an outdoor amphitheatre, games areas among other amenities.  The construction of the park will be carried out in tandem with the Montego Bay Waterfront Rehabilitation Project, aimed at repairing the groynes protecting the Closed Harbour, AquaSol and Gun Point Beaches.
