The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) which will host its flagship event, UDC Fireworks on the Waterfront, on Sunday, December 31, 2017 along the Ocean Boulevard of Downtown Kingston is leaving no stones unturned in its pursuit of delivering wholesome family entertainment at this year’s staging.
The Corporation which has hosted the event since 1999 remains committed to ensuring that patrons are not only well entertained but have convenient locations for parking.
In an effort to facilitate some of the expected 300,000 participants, most of whom are anticipated to be in need of parking amenities; the UDC has made accessible several of its car parks along with those of other stakeholders to be used during the event.
The following parking facilities can be accessed by the public on December 31, 2017 at a cost of $300 JMD:
- Bank of Jamaica Car Park, entrance on East Street
- Fisheries Car Park, entrance on Port Royal Street
- Downtown Kingston Transport Centre, entrance on Water Lane
- Kingston Craft Market Car Park
- Harbour Street Car Park
- West Street Car Park
- Scotia Car Park # 2
Provisions have also been made for persons requiring premium parking services, which will be facilitated at the JCC Multi Storey Car Park at a cost of $500 JMD.
Activities associated with the UDC Fireworks on the Waterfront are slated to begin at 3:00pm with the Kiddies and Vending Village and continue into the evening with the Street Party beginning at 6:00 pm and the Fireworks Display at 12 midnight.
