The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) wishes to advise that the deadline for submission of the following projects have been postponed to a date to be determined:
1. Lease, Development and Management of Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex
2. Lease and Development One Man Beach Montego Bay
3. Concessionaire to Implement, Operate and Maintain Automated Teller Machines at Ocho Rios Promenade and the Central Gardens, Dunn’s River Falls & Park
4. East Elevation Window Replacement and Concrete Repairs for the Office Centre Building
The regular operations of the UDC have been significantly affected by the current government measures to mitigate the spread of COVID -19. Our services have had to be scaled down with work-from-home as much as possible and our Head Office is closed to the public. Like many other institutions, our operations have been further impacted by the lockdown of St. Catherine where many of our staff reside.
As such, and in the interest of safeguarding the integrity of all our procurement processes, we consider it best that all active tenders be postponed as the Corporation is not able to properly receive or treat with bids and/or proposals at this time.
This situation is fluid and we continue to monitor and be guided by government guidelines for the protection of all concerned. As soon as there is a return to normalcy, a new date will be set for the acceptance of bids and/or proposals in compliance with the rules which govern the process.
