Kingston, Jamaica | October 2, 2020: For the second consecutive year, The World Famous Dunn’s River Falls & Park has been nominated for the Leading Adventure Tourist Attraction by the World Travel Awards. Now in its 27th year, the World Travel Awards is the most prestigious honours programme in global travel and tourism that recognises and awards excellence in all key sectors of the travel, tourism and hospitality industries. Members of the public are encouraged to vote for Dunn’s River Falls & Park via https://www.worldtravelawards.com/vote.
Based in Ocho Rios, St. Ann, the internationally acclaimed attraction is no stranger to the winner’s row. In 2019, Dunn’s River Falls & Park topped this very category, surpassing other attractions such as Dolphin Cove, Jamaica; Cayman Turtle Centre; Stingray City, Antigua and Aquaventure at Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas. The Falls was also named as the Porthole Cruise Magazine’s 2020 Editor-in-Chief ‘Best Caribbean Attraction’, was nominated for the 10-Best Reader’s Choice Award, Expert Choice Award and received recognition from Trip Advisor as well as Jamaica’s Tourism Excellence Awards as a top 10 performer.
Park Manager, Michelle Sawyer expressed her delight at being nominated for another year consecutively. “We have worked very hard to maintain high standards of service at Dunn’s River Falls. This year, though particularly challenging because of COVID-19, we were able to mobilize as a team and get the Park ready to receive guests safely, while still offering a high-quality experience. It is indeed an honour to be acknowledged again by the World Travel Awards.”
Dunn’s River Falls & Park is owned by the Urban Development Corporation and managed through its subsidiary, St. Ann Development Company Limited (SADCo).
