The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) has renewed its platinum-level sponsorship of Reggae Sumfest, with main activities set to take place at the Catherine Hall Entertainment Complex in Montego Bay, Jamaica, from 14 to 20 July 2024. This sponsorship is part of UDC’s efforts to connect with key industry players, drive economic growth, and promote urban development through tourism and the creative sectors.
The Corporation will actively engage with potential investors for ongoing commercial and development projects, including the Raintree Commercial Complex in St. Catherine. Additional investment opportunities will also be discussed for commercial properties in St. Ann, residential properties in St. Catherine and eco-tourism projects in Portland.
Patrons will be able to access special summer package rates for The World Famous Dunn’s River Falls and Park, Green Grotto Caves and Attractions in St. Ann. Attendees at the Festival, will also be encouraged to access the amenities at the nearby Harmony Beach Park in Montego Bay, St. James recently developed by the UDC as the nation’s largest free beach attraction with multipurpose lawn spaces and approximately 140 metres of picturesque beach.
UDC continues to be instrumental in the development of Montego Bay as a thriving city, having shaped and protected its waterfront area since the 1960s..Continuing its support from over the years, UDC remains a key sponsor of one of the largest music, food, and lifestyle festivals in Jamaica and the Caribbean. Reggae Sumfest, held for over 31 years at the UDC-owned Catherine Hall Entertainment Centre, is a cornerstone for community enterprise, corporate networking, tourism, attractions, and the creative industries.
