DOWNTOWN KINGSTON HARBOUR WALK- ENVISIONING A RENAISSANCE
The UDC is leading the efforts to plan and buildout the transformative Kingston Harbour Walk (KHW) Project in Jamaica. Envisioned as a 25-kilometre park stretching from Downtown Kingston to the historic town of Port Royal, the KHW is more than an idea or concept—it’s a bold statement of intent that it is being advanced after many years of visioning and conceptualization. On behalf of the Government of Jamaica, the UDC aims to create a world-class, green, and sustainable public space supported by a multiplicity of experiences to the connect Jamaica’s with Kingston’s coastline. The development of the Harbour Walk will serve as a catalyst for economic growth, social inclusion, and resilience.
UDC PROMOTES TURNKEY RAINTREE DEVELOPMENT FOR CAYMANAS

The UDC is leading an innovative commercial development initiative aimed at revolutionising business infrastructure in Jamaica. The project, Raintree Commercial Complex, located just outside Kingston at Caymanas Estate in Ferry Pen, St. Catherine, envisages the provision of 69 lots for commercial and light industrial purposes with all essential amenities in place. The UDC will put in place the primary infrastructure such as roads and sewerage etc to make the project a success and thereafter accommodate investor bids on the open market.

Since 1957, the UDC through the Runaway Bay Water Company has been sourcing this valuable resource from underground wells in St. Ann. In 2014, the operation expanded to include the Caymanas wells to serve the fast-growing population in St. Catherine. A combined 2.75 million m3 per annum of potable water is handled between the plants serving major hotels, businesses and housing developments and even the National Water Commission.

Harmony Beach Park is the flagship project in Montego Bay, St James. The Park is located along Howard Cooke and Jimmy Cliff Boulevards and approximately seven minutes from the Sangster International Airport.
