The Urban Development Corporation hereby invites qualified individuals and entities to submit comprehensive proposals for the lease, development, and management of Walter Fletcher Beach, situated in the prime coastal area of Montego Bay, St. James, registered at volume 1116, folio 221. This strategically located site spans 2.5 hectares (6.23 acres) and presents an exceptional opportunity for the establishment of recreational facilities that will enhance the local tourism landscape. The lease agreement will be granted for a medium-term duration of 25 years, allowing for significant investment and development potential.
Applicants are invited to submit offers in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Information Memorandum Document (IMO) which is available on UDC’s website at https://udcja.com/tenders-rfps-and-leases/. The document is also available at the address below, as of Monday, December 2nd, 2024, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $2,500 by cash or manager’s cheque to the Urban Development Corporation.
Proposals must be deposited by Thursday, February 13, 2025, no later than 2:00 pm in the tender box on the seventh floor of Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, marked Request for Proposal – Walter Fletcher Beach, Montego Bay, St James. Proposals submitted after this time and date will be automatically rejected.
An official public opening of bids/offers will commence at 2:15p.m. on the same day at the offices of the Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.
