The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) invites qualified individuals and entities to submit comprehensive proposals for the lease, development, and management of Green Grotto Caves and Attractions, situated in the prime coastal area of Discovery Bay, St. Ann, registered at volumes 1113 and 1109, folios 761 and 762. Nestled in a prime location, this site encompasses 28.025 hectares (69.241 acres) and presents a remarkable opportunity to develop vibrant recreational facilities. These facilities have the potential to significantly enrich the local tourism scene, attracting visitors and creating a dynamic environment for community engagement and outdoor activities. The lease agreement will be granted for a medium-term duration of 25 years, with rental reviews every five (5) years, with a 10% increase annually, allowing for significant investment and development potential.

Applicants are invited to submit offers per the procedures stipulated in the Information Memorandum Document (IMD) Download here. The document is also available at the address below, as of Monday, February 10th, 2025, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $2,500 by cash or manager’s cheque to the Urban Development Corporation.
Proposals must be deposited by Friday, April 4th, 2025, no later than 2:00p.m. in the tender box on the 7thFloor, Office Centre Building, 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, marked ‘Request for Proposal, Lease and Development of Green Grotto Caves and Attractions, Discovery Bay, St Ann, Jamaica’. Proposals submitted after this time and date will be automatically rejected.
An official public opening of bids/offers will commence at 2:15 p.m. on the same day at the offices of the Urban Development Corporation (The Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.
