Job Summary:
The incumbent has responsibility for the provision of legal secretarial support to the Office of the General Counsel.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies/Business Administration and a minimum two (2) years’ experience OR
- Administrative Professional certification and four (4) GCE/CXC subjects including English and five (5) years’ experience
- Para-Legal Certificate would be advantageous
- Sound knowledge of administrative and office procedures
- Sound knowledge of File Management techniques
- Sound knowledge of conveyancing transactions
- Experience in dealing with litigation documents
- Experience working in a legal department
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
- Ability to assist in the preparation of legal documents, statements
and letters as required
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms
- Expert typing and speedwriting skills
- Sound minute taking and minute preparation skills
- Sound word processing and database software skills
