The Urban Development Corporation requests the submission of OFFERS to purchase “Land Part of DAWKINS BOG FARM OR BOCCA (FERRY PEN), ST. CATHERINE” for commercial development. The subject property is registered as land Part of Dawkins Bog Farm or Bocca (Ferry Pen), St. Catherine, with title reference Volume 383 Folio 4, with an approximate area of 3,479.64 m2 (37,455.76 ft.2)

The subject property is located on the southern side of the Nelson Mandela Highway and immediately west of Fesco Petrol Service Station, opposite the Hydel Group of Schools. The section of this property has road frontage onto the Mandela Highway, and is generally bounded as follows:

  • North:       Nelson Mandela Highway – access roadway
  • South:       Part of the same land – vacant
  • East:          Part of the same land – occupied by Fesco Petrol Service Station & Commercial Complex
  • West:        Part of the same land – vacant

The site is irregular in shape, at the grade (separated by an unpaved drained) of the Mandela Highway, relatively flat and appears to be free draining. The boundaries are secured with chain-link fencing with razor wire atop and Zinc fencing at the northern boundary.

The reserve price (minimum bid) amount to purchase the subject property is One Hundred Fifty Million Three Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Jamaican Dollars (J$150,333,000.00). Offers below the reserve price amount will NOT be accepted.

ACCEPTANCE OF BIDS CLOSES MARCH 21, 2025, AT 2:00 PM. This is a competitive bid process. Bids will be deposited in the appropriately labelled tender box on the Seventh Floor, of Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.

An official public opening of bids/offers will be convened on MARCH 21, 2025, at 2:15 PM. at the offices of the Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.
