Job Summary:
The incumbent provides secretarial and administrative support to enhance the work of the Corporate Communication Department and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Department.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- CPS with five (5) CXC/GCE O’ Levels including English Language, Mathematics and
Office Procedures, or
- Diploma in Secretarial Studies/ Business Administration or equivalent with two (2) years experience as a Senior Secretary
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Word and Excel
- Sound knowledge of administrative techniques including preparation of multi-format reports, minute writing, basic accounting
- Sound knowledge of research and file management techniques
- Sound knowledge of the Corporation’s products, systems and procedures
- Basic knowledge of social media platforms would be an ideal asset
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
- Excellent time management skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written formats
- Expert typing and speedwriting skills
- Ability to work on own initiative and function under stressful situations
- Sound minute taking and preparation skills
- Expert telephone customer service skills techniques
- Ability to provide administrative support for special events and projects
