UDC REPORTS MOMENTUM AT RAINTREE COMMERCIAL COMPLEX; FINAL LOTS AVAILABLE FOR AUGUST 2026 HANDOVER

Kingston, Jamaica | March 4, 2026: One year after its initial market offering, the Raintree Commercial Complex at Caymanas Estate is rapidly approaching its next major milestone. The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is reminding investors and expanding firms that the opportunity to secure a footprint in this prime light industrial and commercial hub is narrowing as infrastructure nears completion.

Since the launch in March 2025, the development has seen steady interest from across the commercial sector. Strategically located north of the Mandela Highway adjacent to the Ferry Police Station, Raintree offers 69 lots designed for high-efficiency logistics and light manufacturing. Currently, a selection of prime lots ranging from 0.99 to 1.3 acres remains available for those looking to scale their operations in 2026.
Every lot within the Raintree Commercial Complex is available for outright purchase, with ownership transferred through the established application and divestment process. The UDC is emphasizing that Raintree does not simply deliver plots of land, but fully-serviced lots with each being backed by dedicated infrastructure and modern amenities, specifically engineered to cut down on development lead times and ensure business operations run efficiently for the long haul.
“We’ve seen a clear shift in how investors view this corridor,” says Sherlock Glenister, Deputy General Manager for Subsidiary Management and Revenue Generation at the UDC. “Raintree was designed to be a structured framework for serious investment. As we reach the halfway mark in our development timeline, the advantage belongs to those who act now to secure their space before the August infrastructure handover.”

Glenister emphasized that the 10% deposit requirement remains a key part of the process to ensure that the Raintree ecosystem is comprised of high-capacity, ready-to-develop partners. “We are prioritzing orderly development and long-term economic impact for the region,” he noted.

Infrastructure works across the subdivision are progressing, with completion of internal roads, water supply, sewage systems, and electricity scheduled for August 2026. Once completed, the Raintree Commercial Complex will offer a fully serviced commercial environment designed to support business growth, logistics activity, and job creation.
Site visits may be arranged upon request, allowing interested parties to view the location and better understand the layout of the development.

Applications to acquire land within the Raintree Commercial Complex must be submitted as complete packages and must align with the designated commercial and light industrial zoning under the Caymanas Development Area Land Use Plan 2022. While applicants may apply for up to five lots, any request beyond this threshold will be considered based on availability and at the sole discretion of the UDC.
Prospective purchasers are encouraged to review the Information Memorandum and arrange site visits to visualize their operations within the complex’s layout.
