Job Summary:
The incumbent will have overall responsibility for the day to day operations at Runaway Bay Water Company Limited as well as for ensuring the seamless operation of three other potable water plants in the following areas; Cardiff Hall, Mount Edgecombe, and another in Caymanas. The primary objective is to efficiently extract, treat, and distribute potable water to customers 24/7, meeting the stringent standards set by Regulatory Agencies.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Management Studies or Business Administration with certification or working knowledge in electrical or mechanical engineering and plumbing, OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with certification in Business Administration, along with three (3) years of management experience in the potable water industry (an advantage).
- Associate Degree or certification in Basic Water Works Operation & Sewage Plant Operation Maintenance.
- Knowledge of water facilities management.
- Familiarity with Jamaica Labour Laws, accounting principles, and project management.
- Sound knowledge of the standards set by various Jamaica Government Regulatory Agencies for potable water.
- Proficiency in UDC & G.O.J. Procurement Policy, Grievance Procedure, and OSHA guidelines.
