Job Summary:
The incumbent has the responsibility to plan, direct and coordinate the effective delivery of quantity surveying services to support project execution. As the chief technical expert in the discipline, the incumbent will be required to provide advice and guidance on all aspects of cost estimating and management for the Corporation’s infrastructure developments.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
· A Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying
· Member of Jamaican Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MJIQS) and/or the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS). Minimum of 5 years’ post registration experience, 3 of which are at a senior management level

Expert knowledge of quantity surveying principles and practice

Sound knowledge of procurement and project management techniques

Sound knowledge of building and civil engineering construction technology and techniques

Expert knowledge of government policies and regulations relative to construction projects and procurement process
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
· Highest level of professional standards, ethics and integrity
· Confident communicator with sound team-building methodologies
· Well-developed oral and written communication skills
· Sound research, analytical and report writing and presentation skills
· Sound statistical, word processing, database and spreadsheet application skills
