THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION REQUIRES THE SERVICES OF A SENIOR SECRETARY (Fixed Term Contract)

Job Summary:

The incumbent has responsibility to provide administrative, secretarial and clerical support for the Director of Finance & Accounts and the Department.

 

The ideal candidate should have:          

 

Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience

 

  • Five (5) CXC/GCE O’ Levels including English Language, Mathematics and Office Procedures, with two (2) years’ experience as a Secretary or

  Diploma in Secretarial Studies/ Business Administration or equivalent with two (2) years’ experience as a Secretary

  • Knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point

  • Sound knowledge of administrative and office procedures

  • Competent at planning and organizing

 

Required Skills and Specialized Techniques

 

·      Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms

·      Expert typing and speedwriting skills

·      Sound minute taking and preparation skills

·      Excellent customer care and interpersonal skills

·      Ability to work on own initiative
