The Urban Development Corporation (UDC) hereby invites qualified individuals and entities to submit comprehensive proposals for the lease, development, and management of Lot 2B, Long Bay Beach Park 2, situated in the prime coastal location in Negril, Hanover, and is registered at Volume 1340 and Folio 423 (part). This strategically located site spans 2.2 acres and presents an exceptional opportunity for the establishment of recreational facilities that will enhance the local tourism landscape. The lease agreement will be granted for a term duration of 20 years, allowing for significant investment and development potential.
The property, comprising approximately 2.2 acres, is located at Long Bay Beach Park 2 off Norman Manley Boulevard, adjacent to a popular beach and bar/restaurant facility – and forms part of Negril’s renowned 7-mile white sand beach. The subject property is bounded as follows:
● North: Jamwest – beach and bar/restaurant facility
● South: Land part of Ruthland Pen (Long Bay)
● East: Norman Manley Boulevard – access road
● West: The Caribbean Sea – part of Long Bay Beach
This is an elongated, rectangular-shaped vacant beachfront lot with direct vehicular access from/to Norman Manley Boulevard, offering a road frontage of approximately 152 m (500 ft) and a similar beach frontage. The southern end is relatively cleared and can accommodate on-site parking, while the northern end is partially overgrown with naturally occurring vegetation; roadside parking is typically required when the beach is at full capacity. The beach is a mild, white sandy beach suitable for bathing. The southern boundary is enclosed by chain-link fencing, and the eastern road boundary features timber ranch-style fencing.
Applicants are invited to submit offers in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Information Memorandum Document (IMD), which is available on UDC’s website at https://udcja.com/tenders-rfps-and-leases/. The document is also available at the address below, as of Monday, August 24, 2026, between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of $2,500 by cash to the Urban Development Corporation.
Proposals must be deposited in a sealed envelope by Thursday, October 15, 2026, no later than 2:00 p.m. in the tender box on the seventh floor of Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston, labelled Request for Proposals – Lease and Development of Lot 2B, Long Bay Beach Park 2, Negril, Hanover. Proposals submitted after this time and date will be automatically rejected.
An official public opening of bids/offers will commence at 2:15 p.m. on the same day at the offices of the Urban Development Corporation (Office Centre Building), 12 Ocean Boulevard, Kingston.
