Job Summary:
The incumbent has responsibility to ensure that the computer and communication infrastructure are functional thus contributing to the Corporation’s goals. The job function will assist with the implementation of systems to mitigate security breaches, safeguard computer files and protect the corporation’s IT infrastructure.
The ideal candidate should have:
Specific Knowledge, Qualification and Experience
• B.Sc. Degree in Computer Science
• Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in Information Technology or Security field
• Minimum certification in IT Security
• Technical knowledge of the following would be an asset: Fortinet, eTrust Access Control, ESM, and IDS. DES encryption, Digital Certificates, SSL, VPN, IPSec, TCP/IP, DNS, web security architecture and social engineering
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques
• Strong communications skills, both written and oral
• Organized, responsive and highly thorough problem-solver
• Excellent analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Sound knowledge of programming languages
• Knowledge in the areas of application programming, database and system design
• Understands IT security techniques for both software and hardware
